Barcelona is one of the most attractive destination for urban's lifestyle
If an Iberian excursion is more to your tastes, why not have a street food-themed weekend getaway in Barcelona, a city where what you have for supper is a matter of utmost importance? Though it’s not specific to Catalonia as a whole, or Barcelona more specifically, the city’s Tapas scene is incredible, as are many of the city’s best-loved food truck offerings, which we absolutely recommend trying out. EL MEX is fantastic for their choice of tacos, quesadillas and nachos, and paella is very easy to come by throughout the Catalan metropolis. For some food shopping, food markets like La Boqueria are essential, as well as being great places to buy Jamón Ibérico, Spain's legendary cured ham. The locals drink dark vermouth on its own before meals, and when served with tapas and other nibbles and we think it really works. Other alcoholic beverages to enjoy when renting an apartment in Barcelona include local wines such as those from Terra Alta and Empordà, and of course Cava, Spain’s equivalent to champagne.
